New: Control Song Master with External Midi Devices ![]() If you have an application that acts as an OSC server, you can use the Controller track to send OSC messages to control the application. This allows you to send "patch" changes to your music applications and devices such as the AXE FX, Kemper profiler, Line 6 and Boss 6 multi-fx pedals, and any other pedal that supports MIDI in. The current view lens shows the portion of the song that is displayed in the main window and indicates its location in relation to the entire song.The Controllers T rack allows you to send midi and OSC messages to applications and external devices. The Overview bar near the top, shows the entire song: ![]() To quickly jump to another part of the song, click anywhere in the waveform view to reposition the play head to that time. In this case, you can re-assign the action of the (easier to hit) spacebar to function similar to <. To toggle the spacebar action, click the button at the top-right as shown below. When you are transcribing, you may find yourself using < a lot. In this case pressing the < key will reposition the play head to the place it was last started from (indicated by a dashed-line, as shown above). However, sometimes it is useful to repeat the section you just played. Notice that when the space-bar is pressed the play head starts playing from the position it was last stopped at (like you think it would). Use the space-bar (or the Play button) to toggle between playing and pausing: Please refer to Using the Side Panel to learn about Song Master's built-in file-browser that simplifies finding audio files and more. Note: You don't have to wait for these progress gauges to finish before playing the song.
